The practice operates an appointment system for the doctors, practice nurses and healthcare assistants. Bookings are easily made by calling on 0121 440 4666 and speaking to reception or accessing the online appointments.

Many routine conditions can be managed by other members of the healthcare team.

A considerable number of emeappointments will be made available on the day.

We continue to review our system regularly in order to give patients swift access.

Save time on the phone.  Appointments can be booked ONLINE via the link at the top of this page.

How to Book an Appointment with a GP

  • All GP appointments remain Face to Face consultations or can be requested to be telephone consultations depending on patient preference.
  • All nursing appointments are face to face.
  • Same day morning emergency appointment - call or login at 09:00 to book an emergency appointment – allocated on a first come first served basis.
  • Pre-bookable appointments - call or login anytime between 08:00 and 18:30 to pre-book up to 12 weeks in advance. Please try to avoid the busy times of 09:00 and 13:00 as same day emergency appointments are booked during these times.
  • Same day afternoon emergency appointment - call or login at 13:00 to book an emergency appointment – allocated on a first come first served basis.

If you require a doctor in an emergency you should ring the usual surgery number. The receptionist will try to accommodate any genuine emergencies and arrange for you to be seen by a GP.

An emergency is a medical or social problem, which requires immediate and urgent attention.

If all our emergency appointments are booked you will be accommodated at the Hub practices. Please ask the receptionists for details about these appointments.

Home Visits

Whilst we encourage our patients to come to the surgery, where we have the proper equipment and facilities available, we do appreciate this is not always possible. In this respect, if you do need a home visit, you can help us by calling reception before 12:00 unless an emergency arises later in the day.

You may only request a home visit if you are housebound or are too ill to visit the practice. The GP will telephone patients who have requested a home visit to assess the problem and need for a visit. The GP will only visit you at home if they think that your medical condition requires it and will also decide how urgently a visit is needed. Please bear this in mind and be prepared to provide suitable details to enable the doctor to schedule house calls.

You can also be visited at home by a community nurse or other community teamsif you are referred by your GP. You should also be visited at home by a health visitor if you have recently had a baby or if you are newly registered with a GP and have a child under five years.
